Wednesday I was frustrated only with myself in that my house was not in good order, and I was not motivated to improve upon it. Dinner for Hub and me was hot dogs and beans.
Today was better; I arose early, picked up around the house, did a good amount of cleaning and laundry. Then an employee and I deep cleaned the offices at work, tossing out outdated paperwork, straightening desks and drawers, etc. I AM READY FOR THE NEW YEAR!!
When I got home, Hub had fixed spaghetti and garlic toast. Glass of Zin was waiting. Yeah, Hub!

Toast
7:30 am. After putting on the coffee, I put four slices of homemade ten grain bread in the toaster to serve for breakfast. After the toaster dinged, Hub was helpful by putting on the butter. How does one do buttering badly?
I pick up the plate and there is a melted pool sitting in the center of each piece of toast. The knife he used is already in the dishwasher, so I get another clean knife, and get a little more butter and spread it to the edges. How does one talk about the importance of butter application to the full surface of the bread? One doesn't.
One hopes the day gets better than the butter.

Each and every day
Each and every day I have a complaint about the man I have loved for 42 years. He drives me crazy.
Today is about Christmas gifts. Any gifts really. For instance, he ask for his Christmas to be the new George W book. I got it for him. Guess what he had under the tree for me? The new George W book.
He also got me flannel pajamas. Every five years or so, he gets me flannel pajamas. I hate flannel. I tell him, yes I am a grandmother, but I am not your grandmother, and I hate flannel I tell him flannel is not a good gift for me and probably most wives, and he forgets all over again, every five years or so.
He did ok though for the rest of this Christmas with a cozy plush fleece robe and a brain teaser book. The glass is half full, each and every day.
